Anyone have experience with ODT who can comment on the pros and cons of this approach versus building and maintaining classes and objects with JScript? It seems from my initial evaluations that ODT would work well for tests that have consistently similar data requirements but might get messy when trying to automate test plans that have highly divergent data requirements for each test. Thoughts?
ODT creates classes visually, however it may require some time to study the ODT concepts. If you choose to use the ODT feature, I recommend that you see the "ODT Object" and "ODT Project Item" help topics.
JScript classes are not visual, but they will allow you to create the needed framework quickly if you are familiar with the technology. Note that TestComplete uses the Microsoft JScript scripting engine and therefore there should be no problems with JScript classes.
