TC7 DBTables store - is there a way to query it?
I understand that one can set the option to update a data store via dbtables.<store name>.Compare however is there a simple way to either 1. throw a variable at the data store to return only records where name = joe or 2. query the store to return results for only that record.
The issue is that at the record is create at script run time so i either need to update the data store to include record x after it has completed, then query the data store for that record or pass a variable at the data store, then update it.
Anyone done this before?

The DBTable checkpoint is an instrument that allows you to compare the current state of your database with the saved one. So, in your case, I recommend that you insert a new correct record (that should be created by your application) in your database manually, create a new DBTable checkpoint (or update the already created checkpoint), undo changes made to your database (roll it back to the initial state) and use the created checkpoint to check whether your application inserts the correct data. Please see the "Database Table Checkpoints" help topic for more information.
If this is not an option for you (creating a DBTable checkpoint before running a test is impossible), I recommend that you use the ADO object to check the contents of the database without using checkpoints (see the "Working With Databases" help topic). Also, please go through the "Connecting to a Microsoft SQL Server Database Using ADO. Example" help topic containing an example demonstrating how to use ADO.
