Test Execute question
Is it possible to use the Test Execute tool to launch a set of TestComplete scripts as part of an automated build server, i.e. allowing the build process to be
- check out latest source
- build code
- run unit tests
- run test complete (GUI) tests
- send build success/failure notifications out
the definition of Test Execute in AutomatedQA website is a bit vague:
"utility that is used to run Test Complete test projects and log results on the computers that do not have test complete installed"
Can anyone help?
Many thanks in advance.
Re: Test Execute question
TE can execute any tests that work in TC. So, you can use it in this case. All you need to do is to create a test in TC. After that, you start it from your build management system. The test can either be started via TE's command line, or you can work with TE via COM (see the "TestExecute Command Line" and "Working With TestExecute via COM" topics in TE's help).
