Acessing a StringRayGrid Help
Im trying to access a Stringray grid developed in VisualC++, so prior to the dotnet version. Has any one got any good examples of checking Column headers or cell values within a grid. Be much appreciated.
Re: Acessing a StringRayGrid Help
We have already seen this problem, and we have not found a way to work with the MFC version of the control from TestComplete. The only thing I can recommend is to ask your developers to share the needed data as a control property so you can work with the property from TestComplete. Please see the "Non-Visual Objects" section of the "Addressing Windows, Controls and Objects of Visual C++ Open Applications" help topic for more information on this approach. Also, you can try using the OCR plug-in to retrieve data from the control. Please see the "Optical Character Recognition - Overview" help topic to learn more.
You can vote for the control here.
BTW, TestComplete 7 has a new Text Recognition service. A new Text Recognition subsystem can recognize the objects by their text. This technology lets you simulate user actions with those windows and controls. You can learn about the feature here. If you are a registered user of TestComplete 6, you can participate in TestComplete 7 beta testing.
