TE COM connect object through network
I want to control TestExecute via COM. This is working fine, I referred to the 'working with TC via COM from managed code' help. However, this is for the case that TC and my managing program is on the same PC.
It would like to have my managing program on another PC and control TestExecute through network from this PC.
I was searching around a bit about this topic and found out that I can connect an object with this call
TestExecuteObject = Activator.GetObject(Type.GetTypeFromProgID(TCProgI D), "tcp://URI:Port/Reference");
To do this I need to configure the server application, means TE, to open a TCP channel with a specific port and register the reference to the server object. Since the TestExecute DLL is not built by me I cannot add those features into it.
Does anybody know how to do this or if there is already any functionality in the TE which is doing this?
Re: TE COM connect object through network
I've now developed an additional server application which instantiates the IntegrationObject of TestExecute on its machine and opens a tcp channel.
Since I developed this my own I can specify the parameters for the channel and the proxy object which can be remote controlled by another machine
