I ******ly recommend that you use TestComplete's DDT.ExcelDriver method to work with an Excel sheet instead of the approach you are currently using. Also, you can work with Excel from TestComplete via COM. Please see the "DDT.ExcelDriver", "Data-Driven Testing" and "Script Samples" help topics for more information. Besides that, you can find lots of sample scripts on this forum and in the official TestComplete newsgroup (http://www.automatedqa.com/forums/d....lete&utag=).
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>// JScript
recset = connection.Execute("SELECT Data FROM [Suppliers$] WHERE Lang = '"+lang+"' And Type='Textbox'And ObjectID='cdtConcern'");
var1 = aqConvert.StrToInt(recset.Fields.Item(0).Value);
If this suggestion helps, I recommend that you use the aqConvert object's methods to convert the values returned from your Excel sheet (see the "aqConvert Object" help topic for more information). If this suggestion does not help, please zip the problematic Excel file along with your entire project suite folder and send us the archive via our Contact Support form (http://www.automatedqa.com/support/message.asp). We will try to reproduce the problem on our side and find a solution for you.
