I have a problem with Script Extensions actually showing up. I have downloaded three from Automated QA's web site and installed them to ...TestComplete6\Bin\Extensions. When I go to File~Install Script Extensions, they are not listed. I have checked ..Engines~Script Extensions and the correct path is listed with a check mark showing that it is selected. Any ideas why I can't get these extensions to appear so they can actually be used? I have created my own but since I'm a new user I thought maybe I wasn't doing something correctly. I tried the ones from AQA and have the same result. Please help! I really need this function to work!
To install a script extension, all you need to do is double click on the file. I believe the "Install Script Extensions" menu option is only to enable/disable extensions that have already been installed.
ALSO... Script extensions should be in the TestComplete6\Bin\Extensions\ScriptExtensions folder by default. It could simply be that you don't have the files in the right folder.
Sorry, they are located in the Script Extensions folder. Complete path, C:\Program Files\Automated QA\TestComplete 6\Bin\Extensions\ScriptExtensions. I have doubleclicked them to install them and I select this location. They are located there. Yes, Going into Install Script Extensions is where they are enabled/disabled. If they are indeed installed they should appear within this list, which they don't. If I understand this correctly, they should also show up under Code Completion, but they aren't there either. Any help is appreciated.
