I just needed to know as to how can we search a link on page and get it clicked
This is the sample code
Set Rajni = Sys.Process("IEXPLORE").Page("*").NativeWebobject. Find("innerText","bg69116")
if Rajni.Exists Then
On executing the code goes inside the loop but does click it.
Can any please tell me how to fix this issue.
Even in the Object Browser if we see the objects are not classfied on the basis of classes so its makes it more difficult for me too fix this issue.
ANy Help would be appreciated
Thanks in Advance
w1 = Aliases["Sys"]["IEXPLORE1"]["Page"]("*");
this is C#(CS) code, try ti use Aliases function.
Please let me know which error is posted to the log when the Click method is executed.
BTW, please note that the ClickItem method is not a common method and only some specific types of controls (e.g. combo boxes or list boxes) have it. Moreover, this method always requires a parameter specifying which item needs to be clicked.
An interesting problem came my way. I think it may be a probable bug
The link that I have is in a cell that has width much more than the text present. For the cases in which the text is wider the link is clicked while for links with shorter text it just clicks but on the blank space just right to the text in that cell.
Please help how to get out of this. As I have to write a script which searches the link and clicks it. I am partially successful only.
Please post the image of the link that is not clicked by your script and the HTML code of this link. You can get it in the outerHTML property of the link object. I will try to recreate and investigate this situation here.
Also, what exact version of TestComplete are you using?
