Invocation of .NET dll methods issue
Can we use TC to automate DLL methods (from .NET dll).We are able to call methods like
method1122(Objects) using methods
we are not able call methods in the assembly using dotNET object
for example if the methods are like on below
Iam using vbscript has default language in testcomplete , List<int> is the problem ,
Can we solve this by using C# are the scripting language In that case i assume we need to declare a type of List<int>
can some body give an example of that .If we are not able to call such methods from .NET dll we need to drop TC for this effort.
Re: Invocation of .NET dll methods issue
The CLR Bridge feature does not allow creating generics in TestComplete scripts. However, you can create a static helper method in one of objects in your assembly that will return a new instance of the 'List<int>' type and use this method in your tests.
public static List<int> getGenericListInt()
return new List<int>();
Set oList = dotNET.<namespace of assembly >.<class>.getGenericListInt
