I am new to this tool we are shifting from QTP to test complete
I started off with reading the tutorial that we got but I am little confused in understanding the way in which TC recognizes the objects.
Normally in many tools we have an OR where we use Properties of a project to recognize it by comparing Test Objects with Run time Objects
Can any please give a small example as to how to write a brief script using Name mapping feature of TC to perform an action.
Lets say we open an IE and enter www.google.com and type something to search and click on "search Button"
For example How will TC recognize the textbox.
It will be great if you explain it to me using name mapping feature( as it wills similar to QTP)
>>>I am little confused in understanding the way in which TC recognizes the objects.
Please see the "How TestComplete Recognizes Processes, Windows and Controls" help topic for this information.
>>>It will be great if you explain it to me using name mapping feature
For information on this feature, please refer to the "Name Mapping" help topic.
BTW, if you are new to TestComplete, I recommend that you see the "Getting started with TestComplete" section of TestComplete's Help system. A printable version of this section (Getting Started With TestComplete 6.doc) is located in the "<TestComplete 6>\Help" folder.
