What I'm trying to do is extract text from text-boxes and Combo-Boxes; even better if you have any idea of getting values of slider/faders . For instance, I have several loops that go through a number of slider bars and increases them by 0.5. I would like to extract those values per each time they are increase and place them into an excel report. Not worry about the excel part. I'm using C++ scripts.
That's pretty much all there is to it. Each object in an application has a number of native properties on it. Use the Object Browser in TestComplete to explore your the properties on your objects and you should be able to do the extraction I've shown above pretty easy.
For combo boxes, you might want to go one step further and actually index each on, that would involve a loop based upon the ItemCount property.
