Automatic Test Data Generation
I am trying to update my testing process, and as part of that I would like to try and automatically generate some fo the data that we will be using to test with.
We are testing WebServices, so what I was hoping to find was an open source tool that can load in a wsdl location, and from there generate random test data for all the fields (looking at the field types/lengths etc) - is any one familiar with any such programs or ideas for doing this?
One tool I found was TestGen at tigris which looks perfect (it even has the option to import data from databases for certain fields if required), however, having d/l'ed it and installed when i load the wsdl nothing seems to happen, and I cant get any response from the mailing list/community guys at tigris. Anyone tried using this with any joy?
(I also saw anothe topic on this page advertising testerdesk but that is not appropriate in this case)
Thanks in advance guys!
