I am looking to implement an automation tool for testing e commerce sites. My team is light on programming skills so I am looking to find a tool that can be implemented without having extensive programming experience and is easy to learn and tests are fairly simple maintain. I have a tight time line and limited budget(imagine that!) It would be great to get some feedback from QA Engineers that work for a small to mid size company with a small qa team who have automation of this nature in place.
Thanks in advance,
High level requirements:
support for N-Tier Applications,
supports data driven testing,
cross browser support,
You could try QAWizard if you are looking for somethign for Web. It's fairly web-oriented I think.
That's probably the easiest tool out there, that I've found. Even with that you'll probably need some scripting skills, but it's certainly not as intense as some.
If you're light on programming skills, though, I don't know if your team will be the ideal staff to implement automation testing, especially if you are looking to put something in place that is more complex or has some built-in AI or decision-making logic.
If that's not possible then maybe requesting some time from the developers would be another option.
