windows scheduled tasks
I am not sure where to post this, I hope this is ok here. I have my tests started up via the window's scheduled tasks. But the problem I have is that sometimes they hang and dont finsh. Under settings for the task I have stop the task if it runs for more then 2 hours. The problem is that windows does not kill all of the 'child' process some of these are left running. Is there a way to have the window's scheduled tasks start up a 'kill task' script if the task times out?
Re: windows scheduled tasks
You can have second task to run exactly 2 hours after the first task.
Second task (The task that will kill processes) will run only if the computer was not idle(All windows scheduler comes with this feature).
Usually I encounter these problems frequently and I use Windows tools like kill.exe/ps.exe to kill the processes.
