I am very new to this forum so I can't create a poll. Regardless, I would like to get a sense of what is being used for testing Windows applications. We are currently using SilkTest. However we are also looking into QTP. I'd like to hear what others are using and why you like/dislike it.
Re: What automation tool are you using for Windows?
I am actually working in TestComplete right now. I was using QA Wizard before that, but an update basically obliterated any java support which was a deal breaker for us. We also looked at TestPartner, but we work with this java grid layout that it couldn't recognize, so that was kinda a deal breaker for us too.
TestComplete seems pretty easy for what we're doing. We've tested it against a number of applications, too, and it seems to do everything fairly good, and for the areas it is lacking we have been able to find suitable workarounds to date.
9 out of 10 people I prove wrong agree that I'm right. The other person is my wife.
