Soon I am starting to work in a project that mostly consist of web services. My speciality is testing automation, based on functional testing. My experience in web services is kind of low, always tested manually using XMLSpy and SOAP requests. Now I have to think of some way / method to automate WS testing.
I need your experience in web services. What can you recommend for automated web service testing: methods, software, hints?
In our company, we're using a testing tool called QEngine that offers web services testing. It is far cheaper than QTP and Loadrunner and easy to use. Their tech support is also very good. Please follow the below link. http://www.adventnet.com/products/qengine/index.html
All the best
GH Tester is probably better for webservices testing if you are using more than one protocol, QTP is easy to use but can be restrictive once you get going as it has very basic support for anything other than request reply!
