Testing Tools for open source software
I am new in the software testing field, though I have completed the basic courses and now I have started software testing for my academic project.
I have to do software testing for the open source software called DSpace(digital Library software).
I can use winrunner, loadrunner and testdirector tools for this purpose on which I have taken training also.
But still I want to explore on some open source tools which can help me.
So please suggest me some open source software tools which can be of my use:
DSpace software is written in JAVA, Platform independent can be easily intalled on both windows and linux, backend database is postgresql.
Thanks in advance.
Re: Testing Tools for open source software
Its always good to explore on some open source tools.
If your learning curve is good then there are so many tools available in open source for all kinds of testing.
For a better picture see this site. www.opensourcetesting.org
Since u are already trained on wr, lr and td, which serve three different purposes of QA, i presume that u will not have much problems getting acquainted with the other tools.
All the best... bye
