One of the many "issues" many automation projects struggle with is the vital unique object dilemma.
And just by chance this week, I did some automation or more correctly some object identification with the spy (using QTP) on some of the elements coded by the Framework of Struts 2.
To my suprice, elements like WebButtons, WebLists, WebEdits, WebCheckBoxes was all uniquely identified using the Html id. This field used to be blank before, but now holds a very unique value.
I haven't been able to investigate all elements in our application, but this will make automation a lot easier.
Tried to search of post in here with keywords "Struts", but none have reported this issue as I could see. So I was wondering if any of you have discovered the same as me. Or perhaps even more?
