I am trying to learn automation testing tool. I got a book on Visual Test 6. I am not sure if this is best for testing GUI.
I dont know how to write a program. Do you think it would be easy to learn Visual Test 6.
This is a good book which should give you some idea about Automated Testing:
Automated Software Testing by Elfriede Dustin by Elfriede Dustin, Jeff S. Rashka, John Paul, ISBN: 0201432870.
Nishat, I see from your profile that you are in technical support and from your other posts that you have no programming experience.
It may be better for you to start by learning a programming language. Just to understand how to program would help. Learning Fromm's books or any material/media where you are on your own can be difficult - maybe you could find a night school class to learn a programming language.
The book I used to start learning VBScript is "WSH and VBScript Programming Second Edition for the Absolute Beginner" by Jerry Lee Ford, to be effective you need access to a PC running Windows.
Don't know if it's different in the States but our local college offers evening courses in various IT disciplines, including Introduction to Programming - usually teaching how to write simple programs in a single language. This should give you the basics of flow, modularity, annotation etc then you could extrapolate into the language needed to code scripts in your chosen tool.
