Our organization is looking for a tool to verify links throughout our web site (that will crawl websites and check for broken links). Google turns up lots of stuff. Anyone have experience w/ one they can recommend? Or to stay away from?
Thanks in advance!
I have used a tool called Linkchecker. It was good and it generated a very nice report. http://linkchecker.sourceforge.net/
But it was commad line.
Also you may try this UI based: http://www.poisontooth.com/linkcheck/
You can check that. i hope it helps.
Much appreciated, thank you Sumit!
Xenu Link Sleuth is the best I've used: http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html

You can try Compuware WebCheck. It does much more than just link checking the whole web site. Also, produces a good report.
Try checkbot http://degraaff.org/checkbot/
With Best Regards
Try this .. Firefox has it's own add-ons. It will add link checking option in your tool menu. Very Easy. This is what I use. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/532/
You could write one using Watir (uses Ruby) or use the command line tool "wget".
