iam a tester who tests software for living. by the way i test web based application based on .net thru which we sell insurance online.
People always talk about testing early in the project. but iam not sure how to do it and where to start. i want to get testing early before even it gets to test from dev. in that way I can get a head start with the issues that might be found in development and by the time i get to test i would have fewer issues to begin with. do you guys think its a good idea to start testing in development. keep in mind that this testing would not replace unit testing by any means. its only a means of getting involved early. please let me know what you think about this. also in general i would like to know where to start if you plan to build test harnesses. if this is not a good idea please let me know if you have any other ideas.
And since we're in automated testing here Lynne, I usually get started on the reusable library scripts asap as well. Also you can usually start looking at the basic framework thats going to drive every test thats automated in the end.
