Anyone using Microsoft UI Automation library?
There was no specific tool forum for this tool so it seemed appropriate to post this here:
Is anyone else using Microsoft UI Automation library? This is a dual purpose accessibility/automation library in which your product implements some interfaces to make it possible to write applications to automate the product.
Specifially, I'm wondering if anyone has used this with a .Net WinForm application?
I'm going to setup a sample WinForm application and do some testing with it but I wanted to hear from anyone who has already gone down this road.
Re: Anyone using Microsoft UI Automation library?
I use Microsofts OLE Automation extensively under Visual C++ and MFC, which is pretty straightforward to both implement and use. The original reference material i used to get into this was "Visual C++ How To" by Scott Stanfield, Waite Group Press ISBN 1-878739-82-4. This is a pretty old book now, but I imagine googling would get you all the info you need. For concrete examples, try searching with the CodeProject www.codeproject.com/ and sourceforge www.sourceforge.net/ These should give you all the .NET and Winforms examples you need,
