How to continue recording of script when the system reboots.
I m testing an application which involves installation of on the components on the system. This component replaces the Windows Gina. The procedure for installation of the components is as follows:
1. Run the setup file.
2. Provide the neccessary parameters (Server name, name of the system on which another component is installed etc.)
3. After successful installation, the system reboots.
I want to use a tool in order to record these steps in such a way that the recording of the script contines when the machine reboots. And it should also record the logon info provided by the user after reboot.
Can anybody suggest me some tool or method through which i can accomplish this??
Thnx in Adv.

We use a non-invasive tool which interacts via the keyboard buffer and graphics interface. Then anything can be monitored even the reboot cycle. My tool is similar to the TestQuest tool: http://www.testquest.com/
But all you need to do is to script into your test a pause and then something which appears on the screen after reboot can give you a "wait-for" synchronization point.
