I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience/exposure in regards to the usage of a automated testing tool(s) with applications built using Apple WebObjects? We have attempted to utilize Empirix E-Test suite with limited/no success. Any feedback/input would be appreciated.
Main problem is time invested on suite of scripts to be blown away by a GUI change. We are thinking of moving to FIT or WATIR, but want to see if there have been successes with something that we have not considered.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">This is not a problem unique to either WebObjects or your test tool. Almost any automated black-box UI functional test suite will be impacted by changes to the AUT's user interface.
Tony, the reason that I ask is that some of the test suites such as Seapine QA Wizard do not work with WebObjects. We are looking for a tool whose scripts are flexible enough to be edited upon their failure due to UI changes(re-recording or rewriting is a cop out), that can be scheduled to be run when we deploy our software (much like unit tests) and that work with WebObjects. Not trying to be specific or anything.....
Hi, I missed your post earlier... you might want to take a look at Eggplant, which (as it happens) was written by former WebObjects developers (including yours truly). If you have any specific questions about how Eggplant would work with a WebObjects app we would be happy to answer, but basically it should just work, as it tests everything by interacting with the system just like a user would. And yes, you can edit a script as your UI changes.
