web services (xml/soap) test tool
I am the developer of an open source test tool for web testing. I am in the process of adding proper support for xml web services (like SOAP).
I have a working version done and I am testing it against the Google web services API.
Is there anyone involved in web services testing who would like to try it and give me input before I release it?
The basic idea is you create a bunch of xml files representing the SOAP requests that are sent to your service. You then create test cases that point to these files and you setup validation criteria, keywords or regular expressions to positively or negatively verify the response returned by the service. You then run your test case file through the test runner.
contact me via email or comment here if you would like to help.
Re: web services (xml/soap) test tool
Great to find your post. Actually i need to test some web-services and the approach you are using is very same which i have to use. We are exploring that in Winrunner, but not sure whether that will work out.
So, I can use your tool for testing the same. I am putting you a mail too.
Hope this works out and we both can benefit.
Thanks in Advance.
