They're being cheapskates here at work so I can't buy a packaged automated tool yet...Does anyone have any experience with any of the open-source automated tools out there? Our web app is pretty straightforward, lots of pages with links, forms, search pages, reports pages...the usual. Is there an open-source that would be ideal for our setup with minimimal programming required.
Thanks in advance guys.
When in doubt...knock it out!
My experience of open-source tools is that you need to be prepared to do some coding.

If you are ready to do some scripting and if your web application is just a simple collection of web pages then i strongly feel that you could either use VB or C#. Because anyways u need to write some scripts with the open source tools also so why not develop your own tool in the meantime.
