This is my first post so I hope I cover everything properly. I am working for a software gaming company that is developing the platform to run in Windows Embedded. The machine will be a gambling machine that runs on a basic pentium 4 running stripped down XP Embedded. I am in search of an automated testing tool that will help in the testing but worry about finding something that will work on the embedded system. Will Win Runner work? Can anyone help me out with some solutions to look at. Preferably cost efficient because the company is new and resources are not great.
We are using XPE on our store side servers, around 20,000 of them. We use a tool which of course, is no longer available, but is similar to WR 4.0 We have written an API interface program with minimal impact to the XPE platform and push the TSL code through the TSL engine in the WR program. IT works great. I wish I could give you more details but we are in the process of registering our technology and can not divulge all of it. But it can be done. I am assuming that there should be other tools out there to help you get started, I just don't know of any off hand.

Hate to resurect very old topics, but this is the only topic I found where the question was asked about automating Windows XPE application and partial answer was given (wonder if that API interface was ever released for the WinRunner or other automation tool).
I have already asked question about that in QTP forum and pretty much got a general answer as a 'no', so the question is, is there any other automation tool which can work with Windows XPE? Or do you have to go native here and do .NET com interface custom code automation without any other automation tool that can you support you here?
