FIT (Framework for integrated test)
I have been asked to evaluate FIT as our shop moves towards TDD (Test Driven Development).
The question I have is does anyone know if this is a tool that helps developers unit test more or is it for QA people for functional tests? Or both or neither? Or something completely different?
I have checked out fit.c2.com and the download is difficult (haven't successfully achieved this yet..) and there doesn't seem to be an simple way of figuring out how this things works let alone run an evaluation on it.
Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated!
PS: Please pardon my extreme ignorance.
Am I just slow? What gives?
How are you Cre, this is a mighty stale post so my guess is you have long ago resolved any issues you have. I am posting to freshen this post and see if there are any other automation folks using this FIT tool? I have been tasked by my boss to implement it and so far it is not fun. I am a long time QTP guy so this feels like I am loosing a lot of my favorite hard won features, but hey adapt or die right? I am looking for any other folks who are users so we can exchange hints and thoughts on using FIT. I hope to see some other users soon. My fear is that no one uses this tool for good reasons.
