    Shopping for automated tools.

    Hi all,
We have need for a tool that will help us automate the QA processes. I have a lot of WinRunner experience but the tool might be too expensive for my company. Can you please recommend a tool that is suitable for .NET framework and not very expensive?
    Thanks in advance,
    Tsachi.

    Hi Tsachi,

You can check up AutomatedQA's Testcomplete. It comes with .net support and allows you to choose from a choice of 4 scripting languages.

Besides can you share some more details? - so that some more alternatives can be suggested by everyone else?
What kind of an application is it? (web based, standalone/client server etc)
What kind of technology does it use? (VB.NET / C# etc)
What kind of automation are you looking at? (unit testing/gui checks/ etc)
Do you need any database support?
    Any other special needs?

    Cheers!

    Re: Shopping for automated tools.

    Hi,
First of all, thanks for the detailed post, and I'll check the Testcomplete.
    Now, for our requirements.
We are looking to test web based applications, the technology we are using is C# and XML. Regarding the type of automation we are looking for I don't quite know yet, but I suspect that it will include GUI testing.
I need some DB support, but I guess most tools have DB connection support.
    Thanks!
