Silktest and Code Coverage
We use Silktest for all of our automation. We use Code Coverage to see how much of the code is hit by the automated tests. Here is the problem, Silktest and Code Coverage don't really know about each other. We want to know what test hit exactly what part of the code. We could run each test case one by one to find out what part of the code is being hit, however that would take forever.
Does anyone have this problem? Does anyone have a solution? What are you doing in this situation?
Re: Silktest and Code Coverage
Code coverage tools are usually cumulative in operation - incrementing a counter when the code is exercised. If the tool could time-stamp those counts you might be to compare them with the test result time-stamps within Silk. That's a pretty big IF, though.
Another possibility would be to have Silk drive the coverage tool to periodically save the current counter values between testcases or whatever. You might then post process the differences in those incremental captures.
