Are there any good open source automated testing tools?
I am looking for a good [open source] automated testing tool for Windows based client/server application.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

There are many good open source automated testing tools.
You can find lots of comments on all sorts of tools by searching for "open source" here or by just browsing around.
If you can tell us what sort of automated testing you wish to do (functional testing, performance testing, etc), we can probably provide more help.
I personally use OpenSTA for load/performance/stress testing. OpenSTA has it's own forum here at QAForums.com.

There is actually a nice discussion of this going on a little further down, check out this link.
In there Elfreide uses the following link, which lists out many different opensource tools. http://www.opensourcetesting.org/.
Update to original post:
Of course I cannot give any details of the project... But I can tell you this...
We need to perform functional and regression tests on a client/server application.
There are three parts to this application suite:
1. Client application that is used to manually enter and process data.
2. A daemon that automatically processes incomming data that is not "flagged" for further review.
3. A web based application (secure connection at 512bit) that is used to view "real-time" results.
Most of the "work" is performed on the client (manually entered and processed by the daemon) with the data being sent to a centallized server.
This is a C++ based application. In addition, there is a web based front-end (secure connection at 512bit) for reviewing data in "real-time".
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated...
