We are stil in the tools selection fase and going to abuse the testtools for entering data from a database in an application which has only a windows client (no other acces ic API) to enter data.
As Joe and others have mentioned, yes Robot and other tools can do that.
But don't let this functionality alone be the driving factor for selecting your tool.
In case you are not already aware of this - and I assume you are - but tool selection criteria should also be based on the technology used to implement the application, i.e. is the tool compatible with your system engineering environment?
