I have done this. As i am sure you are aware it takes alot of work and playing to work ou the full functionality of these products.
I have had a play and it looks very good.
I have decided to go with Rational for now simon. The cost is big but i have used it for a few years.
my decision here was made by the fact that all grid testing etc in TC is manual.
Robot offers the full verification point capability which I think is extremelly improtant.
Rational definately appear way ahead in this area.
TC looks very capable especially for delphi. I would like to see this used in the development environment first. TC can hook straight into Delphi etc.
If I can get the developers to write TC tests that can be run everytime we do a product build I beleive we can cut down on the number of Rational licenses required.
It does not record Object data etc. All this has to be done manually.
If anyone has experience one way or another it would be helpful. I have been using Robot for about 1 1/2 years now and really do like a lot about it. Some limitations that I hate are dealing with trying to use it with multi-developers since there is no version control. Also the fact that globals cannot be passed when using a suite with Test Manager. TC is interesting but I am having trouble figuring out if it will do a better job or hopefully as good of a job. Money is the a driving force in my decission.
Talking with Rational Support they said there was no easy way to implement source control with Robot. R U saying that you've been successful with ClearCase and Robot? If so I need to know more!
