Testing multi-browsers at the same time

    Hi everyone:

Do you know of any testing tools that can test multi-browsers at the same time?

Did you try by any tool? Some tools like Rational Robot, WinRunner & Silk test(not sure) supported both IE and Netscape. At the same time, I didn't test this scenerio.

Re: Testing multi-browsers at the same time

What do you mean by this question? Do you want to do simultaneous access at the same time? And if so, are you interested in the backend aspect? (e.g. Server remains up afterwards...)

From the http request point of view the request is identical, EXCEPT for the client type header. If that's what you want, try lwp perl to do basic get, and simply put in various known client types. This is easier, and a lot simpler then loading all the various version of the browser. If you are doing visual inspection against various browser, then functional test tool (silk, winrunner, robot, RSW) would do.

Re: Testing multi-browsers at the same time

thanks for your replys...I am interested to preform a test on a client machine, the test is to have three customers login to the application simultaneous and one of them using Netscape and the other IE and the other AOL. So there different browsers agnist the server (or client machine) simultaneously. Of course we are still interested in the backend testing after the above three clients performs some actions like purchase orders or update profiles and so on...
