Question about using Perl in automated testing.
I am relatively new to the software testing field and have stumbled across information about using Perl to test Win32 GUIs. How is such a thing possible?
I am an experienced developer in C, and C++ but not so much in Perl.
If I had an application, with no source code, and wished to test it's GUI with Perl, would such a thing be possible? Where would I start? Does anyone know of any good documentation/examples for such a thing?
Any pointers, directions, etc. would be helpful. References to docs would be most helpful.
Thank you very much!
Re: Question about using Perl in automated testing.
Try the GUITest mod: http://www.perl.com/CPAN/authors/id/E/ER/ERNGUI/
There's also a GUI test discussion forum in yahoo can joing @ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/perlguitest/join
So much you can do with perl...
