Stress Testing in Unix environment
Firstly, I am no technical specialist but the company I am working with has been advised that no automated tool exists to undertake the following:-
In a UNIX server and client (thin client using Sun Ray 1's)environment the company wishes to be able to simulate multiple users by testing multi-threaded java calls that can be randomised to mimic the customer profile.
Does anyone know of a tool that can do this or a simple method that can generate the same result. If further qualification is required I will go and get it.
Thanks in advance
Re: Stress Testing in Unix environment
I posted a similar question in the Performance Testing forum - with absoulutely no replies.
In the meantime, I have found 2 tools,
PureLoad by Minq software http://www.minq.se/products/pureload/
Web Performance Trainer http://webperformanceinc.com
Both of which are Java/Swing Based Apps that worked on Solaris.
If you come across anything else, or someone suggests another tool thru this forum please let me know - email@example.com
