    Automation for Solaris?

Looking for an automation tool to test in a Solaris environment. Looked at X-Runner, but its a little costly at this point. Any other options out there?

Silk Automation Tool is working on Sun Solaris.Otherwise you can use Perl language Scripts for Automation on Unix.

    Re: Automation for Solaris?

SilkTest can be used on Solaris, but it must be driven from a PC. I have not used this feature, but I am pretty sure it is a bit more complicated that XRunner.

Rational has a product that can be used on Unix machines as well, but it doesn't integrate with the rest of their product line. I'm sure there are a few other tools out there depending on what kind of testing you need to do.

    Re: Automation for Solaris?

WebLoad 5.0 can be used to test Solaris boxes, when they are used as load generators. WebLoad will use rstatd or SNMP to grab tehe server stats and report on selected metrics.
