    vbUnit3

    have any one used vbUnit3? i just heard of it and i want to know if its worth the try.

    I haven't used this tool, but I have heard some good things about it. From a Developer perspective, it's worth it. As its name implies, it's good for unit testing code--I assume for dlls/activeX components.

    It basically allows you to feed different inputs into the components and validate the outputs; and I believe it isn't meant for gui testing.

    From a QA perspective, it could help remove a layer of doubt when the app is buggy. If the component's unit tests all pass (from vbunit tests), then the errors will likely occur in some interface to the component. Since your manual and functional automated tests should discover this anyway, vbunit would be double-work.

    If, as part of your QA role you are responsible for troubleshooting errors rather than merely detecting them, vbunit would be worth it. Otherwise, it seems more of a Developer's tool.
