Types of Testing using Tools
What types of testing can be performed using tools? I think Regression, Load and Stress are definates.
Can ergonomics be also tested (look and feel)? What about field validations??
can some one add more towards this list.
I know that there are tools for Link Checking (E-Test, Cyberspyder) as well .... and all the big names of testing tools are used for Regression and Load/Stress ... there are HTML validators as well (but i guess that is more white box???) ...

Re: Types of Testing using Tools
I've used Astra Site Manager, free to download from the Astra website for link checking on a website - it works best without dynamic links but it can handle dynamic .asp based sites.
I suppose you could add defect tracking tools to the list since they are an essential aspect of testing - I have used Rational ClearQuest and PR Tracker, both of which do the job.
I've found for tracking metrics, MS Access or Excel are fine.
There are also the performance/stress testing tools like LoadRunner, but I haven't been involved in that field yet!
