I would like to know if there's at least one automated tool that doesn't have problem to recognize custom object.
Thank you !
Unless you are willing to accept "recognition" at a low level (that is, relative coordinates), then NO, there aren't any tools that can recognize any and all custom controls.
Consider it from the tools point of view. They know that a given object is a button (by the class, by the id, whatever). Since it is a button, they know they must record a "Push the Button" statement when you click on it.
Now, assume it's a custom control that's "kind of like a button but not quite". What should you record? What actions should you allow? How do you know it's not more like an Edit control than a PushButton?
Now, what if the "object" isn't even a distinct control? (For Windows, this happens when the object doesn't have its own window handle). How would you even know it is there?
Difficult problems, solved in many different ways - addons, customization methods, etc, etc.
