New Kid on the block
I have some questions. Iím with a consulting firm with approximately 20 programmers. I was programming in a very antiquated language FoxPro for windows. Iíve been given the opportunity to formalize our testing environment. I have no experience in this area except debugging my programs. My first assignment is finding an automated testing system. We do web & desktop applications. My question is what kind of questions should I be asking my boss to help determine the testing system that would fit our needs. I would greatly appreciate any suggests on books, magazines & web sites that would help me in this new position.

"Software Testing in the Real World" by Edward Kit is a good place to start.
