Tool for Borland C++ Builder
Does anybody know about testing
Borland C++ Builder applications.
Our company has already Rational Robot
but when I build scripts with it, I have
problems with object recognition.
It recognize them only by ObjectIndex or
by ID, but these properties are changed
after reloading the application and Robot
cannot find the Objects.
I want to know if it is a good idea to
change my automation tool or not.
Re: Tool for Borland C++ Builder
Using Rational with Borland C++ Builder is dependent on the objects that the developers use. Robot won't recognize custom controls, or control that are outside standard control. What I mean by this is that data aware control in Borland will not be seen except by index which should not change each time you run the application. I've used Robot for about three years with Borland Builder. How you configure Robot is something else to look at. If you would like more help send me an e-mail directly and I will help all I can.
