How to send e-mail using SilkTest?

Has anyone had any experience sending e-mail programatically using SilkTest or any other automated tool?

What I would like to do is, send myself an e-mail once a script is completed.

If anyone has sample code and/or supporting .dll to accomplish this, it would be appreciated.
Have you ever noticed? Anybody going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac.

I don't have sample code, but if I were doing this, I would search the Internet for a VB Script that sent e-mail. You should then be able to call the VB Script from your SilkTest script.

I use a dll from MarshallSoft Computing called SEE32M.dll. There was an article in the segue.com newsletter in July 99 about it. This dll allows me to very easily send and recieve email using silktest.

I've heard that this can work by using sendmail
by calling it as a command line utility

You can also record a function that will recognize your email windows and compose and send the email you put into the code. I've been doing the same thing already.

Your other option is to get a alpha pager you can access from the web and have a function page you when your application is complete.

If I can give you any more information let me know.
