Here is my first question on this web site I discovered yesterday and which already provide me lot of informations.
Does anybody know if test scripts written with Rational Visual Test can be used back with Robot or if it is better to start back from the begin.
Thank in advance for your advises.
Visual Test does share some similarities with Robot because they are both based on VB however it is better to write from scratch as most of the functions are not compatible. Loops, decisions, operators will be the same and even some functions are similar like open() but still best to write from scratch.

Visual Test (at least every version up to 6.0) IS NOT based on Visual Basic, it is based on Test Basic. Visual Test (and Test Basic) is a procedural language, and is not object oriented in the way that VB is.
