Testing Unix Guis developed with Xview
I previously posted looking for advice on impartial test tool for VC++ NT apps, we went with RationalRobot in the end. Thanks for all the replies.
I also need to test legacy gui tools which run on Solaris 2.5+, and were built using xview (ie not xt or motif)
I have a very limited budget and will have a hard job justifying any expenditure at all. I've searched the web for some nice free unix utility but can't find anything at all, free or otherwise.
Can anyone help ?

Very limited budget buys you more manual testers... Any automated test tool running on UNIX would cost $10,000+ per seat. I recommend looking into XRunner for this platform, I've used QAPartner for UNIX, but I don't think it supports many custom objects in UNIX environment. I know WinRunner has more support for odd objects. You can also try QAPartner to see if it does the trick.
