Testing on the MAC
Currently, my company is using Mercury's WinRunner to test our web hosted application. However, it only supports the PC. With all the issues of platform differences for a web based application, what are my options for the MAC without needing to invest in tons of money?
Re: Testing on the MAC
Unfortunately, it appears that no amount of money will get you a test automation solution for MacOS that is "web capable". WinRunner and Silk do not support MacOS, and I am unaware of any other solutions.
Apple's own Virtual User is still available (through the AppleDev web site), though I'm not sure that it supports Mac OSX. I do know that it does not support browser based testing.
I have been thinking that the development of a test automation tool for MacOS might be an interesting project to pursue, assuming that someone has a big enough pile of money to make it worthwhile...
