I have seen on both the Silk and WinRunner forums queries in regaurds to handling the Dos shell or cmd interface.
I have more experiance in Silk and I have used Mr. Reeds very helpfull dosbox enhancements in this area. With WinRunner I am less than enamored with thier solution (absolutely none .. as usual).
However recently I have downloaded expect for NT (only). This is the package Expect-5.21 For Windows NT, Version Release 1 Beta 1. Written by Gordon Chaffee Several years ago (and I am kind of mad I didn't check into this sooner!)
I was very pleased with how well it worked, and would encourage all who need interactive controll in the Dos Box to try the package.
Thanks for the tip on where to download Expect for Windows/DOS. I want to use Expect to automate testscript diagnosis using a input script and a log file as output for an embedded sw system. I want to use Expect to do the diagnosis on the log file to automatically check whether the test run succeeded or failed.I hope that works with Expect? I just acquired the book from Don Libes and have to dig into it yet.
