Automation tools to verify bookmarked PDF
I wanted to check if anyone has done (i.e. actually done in their project) testing of PDF documents via automation.
I want to automate testing of a bookmarked PDF and wanted to check if there is any tool (very much inclined to free
one) for doing such testing.
I have read we can use Apache PDFbox in Java, but not able to locate someone who actually implemented the testing.
I am looking for something in freeware category in .net. (I know this is a very constrainted search)

Seems like there are some apis around bookmarking,
I personally would push the testing of actual PDF document into the unit or integration testing layers. From a GUI level, generation of binary files are annoying to test, and I see testing 3rd party software as "not my problem" and push those off into lower layers of testing. For the amount of work necessary to get it to work at the GUI layer, it's often times the return on investment is not as worthwhile when it comes to testing 3rd party software.
