Automated tools for webpage comparisons across multiple browsers
i'm testing a web-based Java application that can be used on multiple browsers. We have an automated framework for functional testing thru the UI, but it doesn't test if the webpage is rendered correctly. (do text boxes extend off the webpage, are fields aligned properly, do icons and buttons display correctly on both IE and on Firefox, etc). I'm looking for an automated solution for finding these types of errors.
Does anyone have experience with this type of automated testing?
What automated tools can identify, not only when the current webpage does match a baseline image, but also what area(s) within the image don't match?

I've encountered some articles on this, but haven't gotten to the point of implementing such a solution yet. Some tools I've heard of were, RedGlass, DomReactor (currently in closed beta), and Wraith.
Maybe tool like Eggplant or CitraText By Tevron that are bitmap based?
I have not worked with the new insight feature in UFT. Maybe it would have some of that capability.
