How to get your foot into automation testing door?
I've been a manual software tester for 6 years, but have been out of work for many many months now. Someone here on sqaforums suggested to find a job for manual testing that also seeks someone willing to do automation testing, and learn through that avenue. However, I noticed there aren't too many manual testing jobsthat end up looking for some knowledge of scripting or code anyways. I'd like to ask what are some of the more sought after automation tools (e.g. Selenium, QTP, Rational Robot) to learn, but also what programming languages (e.g. C+, Java, C#), and scripting (e.g. Tcl, Visual Basic).
